About Us
Hi there! My name is Emily, and my husband Pat and I are the owners of Roaming Bird Ranch — our little slice of heaven beneath Montana’s wide-open skies.
In the middle of 2020, life felt heavy and still, and we found ourselves craving space, purpose, and room to breathe. When the opportunity to move to Montana came along, it felt less like a decision and more like a calling. I come from a sixth-generation Montana family, and the pull of this land has always lived deep in my bones. This is where my roots run, known and unseen.
Pat is an avid outdoorsman, and when we eloped here in August of 2020, Montana worked its quiet magic on him too. The cool mountain mornings, winding rivers, and endless horizons have a way of settling into your soul. I knew once he stood beneath these skies, he’d fall in love just as deeply as I had.
Today, we’re slowly shaping the bigger vision for our home and ranch — one fence line, one project, and one season at a time. While the land grows alongside us, our online storefront is open, offering thoughtfully chosen tack, t-shirts, boots, and gifts for fellow horse lovers and outdoor-minded souls.
Much of what we offer is made by hand. I create sterling silver jewelry and one-of-a-kind hats, often inspired by the textures, colors, and stories found right here — weathered leather, sun-warmed metal, wildflowers, and long days that end in golden light. I’ve always loved keeping my hands busy, and every piece carries a bit of the land and life that inspires it.
Roaming Bird Ranch is also about gathering and sharing — meals around the table, stories passed along, and experiences meant to be lived, not rushed. We love welcoming others into our journey, so be sure to check back often for updates, new creations, and glimpses into ranch life as it continues to unfold.
Thank you so much for stopping by. We’re honored to share this place — and this season — with you.
