A Little More About The Ranch…

Here’s the basics… the ranch is located in beautiful St. Regis, Montana. St. Regis is so special because it is insulated from the harshest parts of Montana winter. We get more precipitation and the area is very lush and green.

We have about a half mile of river frontage which makes this the perfect spot for fly fishing. So far we’ve caught cutthroat (both Yellowstone and west slope), rainbow, and brook trout in the St. Regis River. It is a beautiful cold water river that is wonderful for trout habitat.

There are 27 beautiful acres of green pastures for us and the horses to enjoy. You can find an abundance of wildflowers in late spring and early summer. This time of year is great for viewing moose on the property!

Through summer to early fall it is nothing but blue skies. Seriously… not one cloud in the sky. The greenery slowly shifts from vibrant green to brilliant yellow. The tamarack tree, one of the only deciduous conifers, lights up the mountainside. This is a great time for bird watching. There are many breeding American Kestrels and Mountain Bluebirds.

Winter comes on strong with heavy snows, but milder temperatures. It’s like living in a snow globe. This time of year is great for winter sports; snowshoeing, downhill and cross country skiing, and snowmobiling are popular!
